A shared language
Clear protocol boundaries for identity, transaction, state, and security — so a network's foundation is never a black box.
OPEN PROTOCOL FOUNDATION
SINCE 2017
NULS IS NOT A CHAIN. IT IS A WAY TO MAKE CHAINS.
NULS is an open protocol foundation. It does not prescribe one network for the world; it gives builders and communities the power to define how a network reaches consensus, runs, governs, and evolves.

THE PROTOCOL GROUND
Networks change.
The right to define them should not.
We believe blockchain's future is not a single 'best chain'. It is many networks that genuinely fit different people, collaborations, and ways of moving value.
NULS works at a deeper layer: which principles should be shared, which choices should remain open, and how a network can still be understood, maintained, and changed by its community years later.
Clear protocol boundaries for identity, transaction, state, and security — so a network's foundation is never a black box.
Consensus, execution, cryptography, modules, and economics are questions each network should be free to answer.
A network is not a release. It is a lasting commitment that can be discussed, upgraded, and cared for by its participants.
02 / FOUR FRONTIERS — QUESTIONS WORTH BUILDING FOR
NULS Mars makes four difficult directions visible. Each faces a constraint every long-lived blockchain will meet: privacy, useful security, cryptographic time, and execution diversity.
A valid transfer should not have to disclose every relationship behind it. NULS Mars explores zero-knowledge transfers with commitments, nullifiers, Merkle witnesses, and viewing keys — proving validity while reducing what the ledger exposes.
Open networks need public verification; people and businesses need selective disclosure. The design question is how to hold both without making privacy a black box.
AIPOW is NULS Mars’s isolated testnet experiment: GPU compute challenges feed its consensus path, while AI model inference is a separate service obligation. A model’s subjective result must never decide fork choice.
AI demand is real, but consensus needs objective evidence. The community can test whether useful compute and hard protocol rules can meet without turning a network into an unverifiable AI contest.
NULS Mars maps a post-quantum suite across the stack: ML-DSA signatures, ML-KEM encapsulation, and SHA-3 hashing. The native V3 address is 72 bytes — longer, plainly, because cryptographic migration debt should not stay invisible.
Security choices outlive interfaces. Standards, known-answer tests, interoperability, and independent audits are community concerns long before any cryptographic profile earns production admission.
EVM, SVM, WASM, and Move can meet at a pluggable runtime boundary. Different assets, applications, and developer communities should not be forced into a single execution worldview just to share a chain.
Choice needs disciplined interfaces. A network profile can enable a VM deliberately; the existence of a module never substitutes for runtime safety, governance, or production admission.
02 / CHAINBOX — NETWORKS, COMPOSED
ChainBox is NULS's chain creation tool. It translates 'what kind of network do we need?' into a blueprint that can be discussed, configured, validated, and implemented.
YOUR NETWORK / CONSENSUS
Choice is not a footnote. It defines how this network trusts, collaborates, and lets people participate.
03 / PROOF, NOT THE LIMIT
The current NULS testnet is implemented in Rust and grounded in AIPOW consensus: a demonstrator that can be run, inspected, and experimented with. It proves a set of choices; it does not define every possibility of NULS.
A demonstrator for validating combinations in a modular protocol.
01One implementation path that values memory safety and concurrency — not a language boundary for NULS.
02An AI proof-of-work experiment designed to be tested, discussed, and iterated.
0304 / OBSERVE WHAT WE BUILD
NULS Explorer gives compatible networks an honest observation surface. Blocks, transactions, accounts, finality, and freshness should be visible as they are — never hidden behind a beautiful number.

Since 2017, the NULS community has made 'open' a daily action — through discussion, care, proposals, translation, node operation, and code commits.
No chain burns forever.
But people who care can keep its signal on.
There is no terminal.
Only people still arriving.
